Barpel was founded on a simple observation: e-commerce merchants spend too much time and money on customer support that could be handled by AI. We are building the platform that lets any store offer instant, intelligent, 24/7 phone support without hiring a call center.
Our Story
Barpel started in 2025 when co-founders Rafael and Austyn identified the same problem from two angles. Merchants were spending too much time and money on repetitive customer support — order tracking, returns, abandoned carts — tasks that AI could handle instantly and around the clock.
Rafael took on the CEO role to drive the business and product vision. Austyn, as CTO, built the technical infrastructure from the ground up — connecting Shopify stores to AI voice agents that answer calls, check orders, and recover abandoned carts automatically.
Today, Barpel is live and handling real customer calls for e-commerce brands in 30+ languages. We are in early access and just getting started.
